A Riley County man was involved in a crash Wednesday morning that claimed the life of another.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says a passenger car was eastbound on K-140 in Ellsworth County and missed a stop sign. The car was struck at the intersection of K-156 by a southbound semi. The car’s driver, 70-year-old Donald Svita, of Pueblo, Colorado died on scene.
The semi driver, 39-year-old Luke Johnson, of Randolph, sustained a possible injury, according to the crash report, and was transported to the Ellsworth Medical Center.
