Manhattan homeowners next year will see a 4.51% increase in their property taxes direct to the USD 383 Manhattan-Ogden school district.
The USD 383 school board on Wednesday unanimously adopted its fiscal year 2025 budget, which exceeded the established revenue-neutral rate of 58.419 mills with a 2025 rate of 59.909 mill.
A mill represents $1 for every $1,000 in assessed, taxable property value, meaning that the owner of a $100,000 property would have paid $461 in taxes to the district last year. That same homeowner will pay $481 to the district this year for a property now valued at $105,000, an increase of $20.81 or 4.51%.
