There should be an update this afternoon on quarterback Will Howard’s status for Saturday’s game against UCF when offensive coordinator Collin Klein talks to the media, but K-State head coach Chris Klieman says a plan is in place if Howard can’t go.

Howard was injured in last Saturday’s loss at Missouri as was running back Treshaun Ward, who was labeled doubtful by the head coach Tuesday. One advantage Johnson would have would be that veteran right tackle Christian Duffie is expected to see his first action of the season.

K-State hosts UCF Saturday night at 7 p.m., with coverage on Newsradio KMAN and 101.5 KROCK starting at 3 p.m.
