One was killed on Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in a construction zone in Geary County.
The Geary County Sheriff’s Office reported the accident occurred just before 3:30 p.m. on I-70 near Junction City near mile marker 298 near the Wal-Mart/Cracker Barrel exit that caused a standstill for nearly two hours.
Sheriff’s deputies reported that one fatality occurred from the accident which was head-on. The details on the accident are still unfolding and an investigation continues at this time.
It’s the second time in the last week an accident has occurred on I-70 leading to the a fatality.
