Riley County Police have arrested a man for aggravated assault using a deadly weapon.
27-year-old Jacob Shepard of Ogden was arrested in the 400 block of Fifteenth Street just before 4:30 pm for one count of aggravated assault with the use of a deadly weapon, one count of attempted aggravated battery with a locked dwelling for felony, theft, domestic violence or sex and one count of criminal damage to property without consent less than $1,000.
Officers reported that Shepard was initially on the victim’s porch throwing items. Eventually, he attempted to gain access to the residence before being arrested on probable cause charges.
Shepard remains confined in the Riley County Jail on a bond of $40,000.
