Dennis Cook, the executive director of the Aggieville Business Association, said this is the fourth or fifth year in a row the organization has conducted the festivities at 12th and Moro streets.
Aggieville traditionally drops an apple (because of Manattan’s nickname, the Little Apple) instead of a ball for the countdown to midnight.
“This year the apple will be up top of So Long Saloon,” he said. “It’s always a great deal for us when we hold this event.”
