Several counties in Northeast Kansas are set to be in red flag warnings today due to high winds that could exceed 40 miles per hour.
Currently, Riley, Pottawatomie, Geary and Wabaunsee Counties will be under a red flag warning from 11 a.m. this morning until 8 p.m. tonight.
Also, Pottawatomie and Riley Counties have burn bans in place due to the high winds. Pottawatomie County’s burn ban is in effect until Saturday morning.
