Manhattan High volleyball battled two-time reigning Class 6A champion Mill Valley before bouncing back for a sweep of Tonganoxie in Monday’s home triangular.

The Indians (8-4) opened against the Jaguars (13-3) and fell in straight sets, 25-20, 25-17. Despite the loss, head coach Nicole Jones said the match showed her group it can play with one of the state’s best.
