Manhattan High girls’ golf completed the latest step in its climb towards a state championship at regionals on Monday.

The Indians took care of business in the Washburn Rural regional, placing first with a team score of 315 to clinch its spot in the state tournament.

Manhattan bested its host in the Junior Blues who tallied a score of 329. It was a two-way race for first as in third place was Lawrence Free State, seemingly miles behind with 418 points.
