Manhattan High girls’ golf turned in a historic round Tuesday, firing a program-record 294 to dominate the Salina Central Invitational at Salina Municipal Golf Course.

The defending Class 6A state champions placed five golfers in the top 10 while outpacing runner-up Bishop Carroll by 30 strokes. McPherson finished third at 334, followed by Newton (361) and Concordia (385).

Junior Maddie Myers led the way with a 2-under-par 68, claiming medalist honors by two strokes over Concordia’s Mya Niehues. She was joined by senior Lily Bahr, who tied for fifth at 73, and senior Kat Ball, who placed seventh with a 74.
