Manhattan High girls’ basketball took care of business in Thursday’s season-opener at the Hays City Shootout, downing Life Prep Academy 50-32.

The Indians (1-0) entered the season with expectations of being led by a core group of upperclassmen guards, but it was sophomore Evie Banks who led the way with 17 points for Manhattan against the Fire.
