Typically after a run to state, you aren’t expected to return a handful of key contributors. But that’s not the case for Manhattan High girls’ basketball.

Experience is still the name of the game for head coach Scott Mall despite graduating guards Emery Ruliffson and Maxine Doering.

Manhattan returns a pair of juniors in Kat Ball and Delaney Larson — the Indians’ second and third leading scorers last year. While Doering led Manhattan’s scoring last year as the only individual to average double-figures, Mall believes the balance in this year’s roster could be key.
