At the midway point of the regular season, Manhattan High football returns to the confines of Bishop Stadium for homecoming against Emporia High.

On paper, it’s a matchup that does not favor the Spartans who march into Manhattan with a 0-4 mark. On the other sideline, the Indians remain unscathed this season, boasting a perfect 4-0 mark.

Last year, the Indians throttled Emporia with a 51-7 victory, bouncing back from the team’s 16-game winning streak being snapped at Washburn Rural the week prior.

This year, it’s not an opportunity to respond in a time of adversity but rather a challenge for the Indians to treat it like any other week.
