Manhattan High football begins its 2025 season at home Friday night against Garden City, which enters a new era under head coach Joe Price.

Price, a Garden City native, returns to western Kansas after nearly a decade at Plainview High School in Ardmore, Okla., where he led the Indians to two Class 3A state championship game appearances. He also brings his son, senior Jhett Price, who will play both middle linebacker and H-back for the Buffaloes.

“They’re going to have fresh new energy and a new lease on life,” Manhattan head coach Joe Schartz said. “We always know that Garden City is a big and physical football team that is going to give us a good test.”
