Manhattan High football enters Week 5 with something it hasn’t experienced in over a year — a regular season loss.

The formerly top-ranked Indians (3-1) saw their bid for a fifth straight Silver Trophy fall last week in a 28-14 defeat to Junction City, undone by six turnovers and missed opportunities in the red zone. Now, with Centennial League play heating up, they head to Emporia (2-2) for a chance to regroup and reassert themselves.
