Manhattan High boys’ golf claimed the Class 6A sub-state title Tuesday at Manhattan Country Club, posting a team score of 296 — one stroke ahead of Mill Valley — to qualify for next week’s state tournament.

“A team victory,” head coach Brad Ficke said. “Winning by one stroke, the guys are well aware that one stroke is a big deal, and you never give up on a hole, and they didn’t do that today.”
