
Manhattan High boys’ golf continued its recent Centennial League dominance Tuesday, winning its third straight league championship at Lake Shawnee Golf Course.
The Indians finished with a season-best team score of 301, finishing nine strokes ahead of runner-up Washburn Rural. It marked Manhattan’s fourth league title in the last five seasons.
Sophomore Charlie Haney led the way, earning back-to-back individual Centennial League titles with an even-par 70. Haney won the tournament by four strokes, securing the fifth individual title of his high school career.
Manhattan also placed two more golfers inside the top six, as Cade Cochran and Will Carpenter each shot 76 to finish fifth and sixth, respectively.
