
Manhattan High boys’ basketball opened its season Thursday night in the Hays City Shootout, falling to Life Prep Academy 65–43 in its first action of the winter.
The Indians (0-1) stayed with the Fire for stretches, only trailing 26-24 at half, but couldn’t keep pace in the second half. Life Prep entered the night 7-1 after a full month of non-KSHSAA competition.
