Officials on Monday said MATC opened an office in the Fort Riley Education Center in October and has begun offering “career-focused education opportunities directly on post.”

MATC and Fort Riley officials signed a memorandum of understanding in June to allow the college to offer classes with financial aid options including tuition assistance, VA benefits and other funding sources.

It currently has a 19-credit-hour welding certificate course with two timeline options. The first allows students to take it as a 16-week evening course, with semesters beginning in January and August. The other is an accelerated, eight-week daytime course. MATC offers two of the eight-week courses per semester, with the next session beginning March 24.
