For the second consecutive year, Manhattan High cross country made history at the prestigious multi-state Southern Stampede met in Joplin, Missouri on Saturday.
The defending Class 6A champion girls won the team title for the second straight year, while senior Gabrielle Converse set a new school record in the individual race. Converse finished second overall in 17:58.43, breaking her own school record of 18:03.65 set at last year’s Southern Stampede.
