A Manhattan man is in prison on Friday following an arrest on a slew of drug charges that includes drug distribution that caused death.

21-year-old Lucas Johnson was arrested at approximately 1:45pm in the 100 block of North 1st Street on probable cause charges. The main charge is one count for distribution of controlled substance causing death along with three separate counts for aggravated battery that knowingly caused great bodily harm or disfigurement.

Johnson is also charged with three counts of distributing an opiate with a dosage less than 10 units, two counts of aggravated endangering of a child and one count of using a communication facility in the commission of a drug crime.

Johnson is confined in Riley County Jail on a bond of over $1.5 million. Details are still coming out on this crime so stay tuned to News Radio KMAN as more details emerge.
