RCPD arrested a local man in Manhattan on Tuesday morning on charges of child sex crimes.
Carey Cortez, 47, of Manhattan was arrested just after 8:30 a.m. in the 1300 block of Baehr (Bear) Place. He is charged in this case with four counts of aggravated criminal sodomy with a victim less than 14 years of age and two counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child.
Due to the nature of the crime, no further information is being released at this time. Cortez currently is confined on a bond of $250,000.
