A Manhattan man is being held at the Riley County Jail on a two million dollar bond, accused of shooting at three people in a Thanksgiving weekend incident, one of two shootings that occurred within 18 hours of each other.
22 year old Clayson Joyce was arrested Tuesday in Riley as investigators believe he shot at the three before sunrise December 1 near Claflin and College.
He could face as many was 12 counts of First Degree Attempted Murder, two counts of criminal discharge of a firearm into an occupied dwelling, criminal damage to property, and unlawful discharge of a firearm in city limits.
Police allege the shooting was connected to another that occurred the night before in the 2000 block of College Heights. A 23 year old woman suffered a gunshot wound that was determined to be non-life threatening at the time.
42 year old Jessica Miller was arrested earlier this month by RCPD tied to the shootings. She faces several charges, including 10 counts of perjury and nine counts of violating the Offender Registration Act, plus drug possession and distribution related ones.
The investigation into the shootings remains ongoing, and RCPD is asking anyone with information about these incidents to come forward by contacting their non-emergency line at 785-537-2112 or Crime Stoppers.
