A local man was arrested for driving under the influence on Tuesday.

Officers arrested 38-year-old Thomas Scripter of Manhattan at approximately 4:30 p.m. in the 3000 block of Anderson Avenue on charges of driving under the influence and failure to have ignition interlock device in his vehicle.

Scripter has spent time in jail for DUI before. In Nov. 2021, he was sentenced to 90 days in prison for DUI along with 1 year of probation. He also pled guilty to the charge in 2016 but received no jail time.

Bond has been set at $8,000 in this case and he no longer remains confined at the time of this report.
