Residents lined up over the weekend to support the Manhattan Public Library and look for a deal on books.

The Manhattan Library Association hosts the annual book sale, selling books both donated and from the library’s collection. Brandy McDonald chairs the MLA book sale and said funding supports library programming throughout the year.

“A lot of the things that people see when they come into the library, the summer reading and the story times, things like that,” she said. “A lot of that funding is coming from this book sale, so I think people definitely see the impact when they’re at the library.”
