Police are investigating a reported identity theft scam that resulted in financial losses for a Manhattan woman and KS State Bank, according to the Riley County Police Department.

Officers filed a report at approximately 9:27 a.m. May 26, 2026, in the 2500 block of Rogers Boulevard for identity theft.

KS State Bank and a 60-year-old woman were listed as the victims after it was reported an unknown suspect used personal information obtained through emails and phone calls to scam the victims out of money.

The total estimated loss associated with the case is $1,200.
