Manhattan High junior Caeleb Hutchinson competed in the 2024 USA Wrestling Preseason Nationals held at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines, IA, October 26-26, 2024. This premier preseason event had 2,100 wrestlers in the high school division.
Hutchinson wrestled in the high school division at 132 lbs. He was in a 128-man bracket and was 6-0 during the event. Earning the preseason national championship by beating Steele Diercks (Big Game Wrestling, IA) in the championship match.
Entering his junior season, Caeleb is a two-time KSHSAA 6A State Champion and was part of the 2024 Manhattan High School state championship team.
The Indians, led by Coach Shawn Bammes, are looking to have another strong season which officially begins on November 18th. Manhattan High Wrestling will host Great Bend in a home dual on Thursday, December 5th and a home dual tournament on Saturday, December 14th.
