Manhattan High football wasted no time showing off its two-quarterback system Friday night, rolling to a 43-13 win over Garden City in the 2025 season opener at Bishop Stadium.
The Indians (1-0) started senior quarterback Finn Watson who went 8-of-10 for 133 yards and a touchdown while adding a rushing score. Sophomore quarterback Mclain Aslin ran 13 times for 108 yards and two touchdowns and completed 4 of 5 passes for 36 yards.
Head coach Joe Schartz said both signal-callers gave the team what it needed.
“I think it’s good that both of them got significant playing time, and we saw what they can do and what they can add to the team,” Schartz said. “We’re going to need both of them as it goes along. There were pluses and minuses for both, and it was good that they both got out there. We can see the film and get better.”
