With the 2025 basketball season in the books, the Centennial League has announced its annual league rosters, featuring six Indians across the boys and girls squads.
The MHS girls (14-8) finished the year with a sub-state championship loss to Washburn Rural and earned four placements on the All-Centennial League roster.
Junior Kat Ball led the way with a first team selection after averaging 10 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 3.6 steals. She was the Indians’ leader in points and steals while second in rebounds and assists.
Fellow junior guard Delaney Larson was one spot away from making first team after averaging 9.3 points, 3.2 assists and 3 steals. She led MHS in assists and just trailed Ball in points and steals.
Sophomore Bailey Busch made 2nd team with 7.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.9 steals and 2 assists per game. Senior Isabelle Peabody made the honorable mention team. The 5-foot-10 guard was key on defense while carding 5.5 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2 steals per game.
Kansas State commit Maddie Vickery, a sophomore at Washburn Rural, was the league’s player of the year.
For the boys, who finished the year 6-15 with a sub-state opener loss to Junction City, a pair of juniors received honors. Noah McFadden placed second team while Vince Doering garnered an honorable mention.
McFadden’s 11 points per pame led the Indians in scoring, while Doering’s 3 steals and assists per game were both team highs.
