Home-court advantage made the difference in the season series between Manhattan High girls’ basketball and Topeka High, as the Trojans took their second matchup 64-52 in Topeka on Friday.
The Indians (10-6) needed a bounce back from a 30-point league loss at Washburn Rural on Tuesday, but unfortunately faced a similar result. Manhattan dropped to 3-3 in league play, despite a late push, including 15 second-half points by junior Kat Ball.
In the first matchup against the Trojans (10-7) Manhattan protected its home floor with a 60-54 final, but this time T-High came out firing with a vengeance, led by a game-high 22 points from freshman Hailey Caryl and 18 from sophomore Shy Rayton.
