Emporia, KS – The Manhattan Lady Indians saw its seven-game win streak come to end Thursday night. Emporia, the number five team in 5A, led from start to finish to beat Manhattan 53-41.
The Indians were led in scoring sophomore Kat Ball who finished with 20 points. 14 of those points were scored in the 2nd half and she hit three 3-pointers in the game. Senior Maxine Doering, one of a few Indians who dealt with foul trouble, added six points. Emporia was led by Emporia State signee Addie Kirmer with 21 points.

Manhattan falls to 7-2 overall and 2-1 in Centennial League play. Emporia improves its record 7-1 and 2-0 in league play. Manhattan will get little before they head East on I-70 to play on the road at 4-4 Blue Valley-Stilwell Friday night. Tipoff scheduled for 6 PM. Pregame at 5:45 on KMAN.
