A man was arrested overnight after he shot a stolen firearm through a ceiling at an apartment complex in Manhattan.

Officers filed the report in the 1700 block of Laramie Street just after 10:45 p.m. when a 26-year-old male came home to find a bullet hole in his ceiling, his countertop and dishwasher.

When officers arrived, they found the suspect and arrested him for criminal discharge of a firearm, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officers listed the 26-year-old male as the victim as well as the public.

The suspect’s identity is yet to be released at this time.
