Police arrested a Clay Center man at the Hy-Vee gas station on Tuesday morning just before 6 a.m. in the 200 block of Leavenworth Street.
Dwayne Wright, 50, has been charged in this case with one count of criminal possession of a firearm by a felon and is confined on a bond of $5,000.
Wright has a lengthy criminal history dating back to 1993 in Leavenworth County. He was arrested twice last year for firearm theft and motor vehicle theft in Johnson County.
