The latest Kansas Basketball Coaches Association polls showed little movement for area teams through the first week of mid-season tournaments.

That includes the Wamego girls remaining at number two in Class 4A while Frankfort checks in at number four in 1A-D1

Wamego is 9-1 after finishing third at the Tonganoxie Tournament last weekend. Frankfort rallied to win twice in the Twin Valley League tournament after suffering a first round loss to Hanover. The Wildcats are 9-2.

Valley Heights is ranked 10th in 2A with an 8-3 mark.

The Rock Creek boys move into the 4A rankings at number seven as one of only two teams on the east side of the class with one loss, trailing only unbeaten Atchison in the seeding chase.

Wichita Heights stayed at number one in Class 6A boys after ending Manhattan’s six game winning streak in the title game of the Tournament of Champions in Dodge City Saturday. Junction City is now ranked ninth, down two spots after falling to Olathe South last Friday.
