With a legendary career covering almost five decades, KANSAS is one of America’s iconic classic rock bands. From a garage in Topeka, to releasing their debut album in 1974, to hitting the big time and selling more than 30 million albums worldwide, they are on their way to the McCain Auditorium for a show on May 18, 2022! Tickets are on sale Friday October 8, 2021 at 10am on McCain’s website.
The stop is part of their 40th Anniversary Point Of Know Return celebration. The second and final leg of that tour gets underway on November 13th of this year in Cedar Rapids. Originally slated for the Spring and Summer of last year, the final part of the tour was postponed due to the pandemic.

Summer of 2020 brought the release of The Absence of Presence, (Their sixteenth studio effort), debuting at #10 on Billboard’s Top Current Albums chart.
KANSAS has produced sixteen studio albums and five live albums, with eight of them going gold, three sextuple-platinum albums, one platinum live album, one quadruple-platinum single “Carry On Wayward Son” and another triple-platinum single “Dust in the Wind”. KANSAS was on the Billboard charts for over 200 weeks throughout the ‘70’s and ‘80’s and played sold-out arenas and stadiums throughout North America, Europe and Japan. “Carry On Wayward Son” continues to be one of the top five most played songs on classic rock radio.
The band currently tours with original drummer Phil Ehart, longtime bassist & vocalist Billy Greer, vocalist & keyboardist Ronnie Platt, violinist & guitarist David Ragsdale, keyboardist & vocalist Tom Brislin, and original guitarist Richard Williams.
