A competitive back-and-forth game ended in heartbreak for the Kansas State women as the Wildcats fell short of a win, losing 60-58 at home on Saturday.

The Wildcats (1-2 Big 12, 8-8) led by as much as eight in the first half and trailed the Mountaineers (3-0, 13-2) by as much as seven midway through the fourth quarter, but couldn’t make the plays down the stretch to come away with the win.
