K-State on Friday reported that a student had tested positive for tuberculosis.

The student is undergoing medical treatment and is isolating according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines, officials said in a written statement.

They said K-State is working closely with the Riley County Health Department to identify any people who had prolonged contact with the person who may need to be tested as a precaution.
