Kansas State soccer wrapped up its Pacific Northwest road trip with a 2-0 loss against Gonzaga on Sunday, ending the two-game set with a cloudy mask after a win against Portland State on Thursday.
K-State, who falls to 1-2 on the season, was out-matched by the Bulldogs for most of the first half. Gonzaga out-shot the Wildcats 14-0 in the period while connecting for a 1-0 lead in the 37th minute.
“The biggest thing, I think, is not to be reactive like we were in the first half to every possession,” head coach Mike Dibbini said in a written statement. “Every action, we were a step behind and we looked like we were chasing a little bit more in the first half than we were in the second half.”
