Coming off a recent visit to Manhattan, K-State lands its second transfer portal player with a commitment from Purdue wide receiver Jaron Tibbs. With the turnover in the KSU receiver room, this is a much needed addition to the K-State 2025 class.
The former Boilermaker is coming off a true sophomore season where he had 30 catches, 347 yards, two touchdowns and started two games. His best game was his last game. Four catches for 73 yards against Michigan State. Tibbs had five games this season with at least four catches.
According to On3, Tibbs is a three star portal recruit and the 644th best player available. Out of high school in Indianapolis, he was a three star recruit and tabbed as the No. 16 prospect from Indiana by 247Sports
Tibbs recently took a trip to Manhattan after checking out Wake Forest. Was schedule to then take visits to Arkansas and USC. That will not be happening. Tibbs also held transfer portal offers from Rutgers, Louisville, Minnesota, Georgia Tech and many others.
With his signing, K-State now has 27 players in the 2025 class. He is the second transfer addition along with Oklahoma corner Jayden Rowe. The wideout will have two seasons to play at Kansas State and a redshirt available.
