The trial of Victor Cortez Armstrong-Tharp began Monday with jury selection in Riley County District Court.
Armstrong-Tharp is charged with two counts of rape and two counts of aggravated battery, all against the same victim born in 2000. The Douglas County sheriff’s office arrested Armstrong-Tharp on Jan. 18, 2024 for the charges, which court documents allege took place on Nov. 27, 2022.
