A unique strategy led a Junction City team to the secret location of this year’s Jingle Bell Rock!

After just 11 clues, JC residents Christina, Jeramy, and Raelynn Brown, along with Hannah Benoit followed their deductions to Cico Park and into the dry creek bed to discover the elusive Riley County treasure.

Christina gave us an insight to her very unorthodox strategy:

“I kind of know that the rock is usually found in the third or fourth week of clues, so I went to your website on the Friday after the first week of clues were posted and then did the same the next week. After that I had kind of a good idea of the general area of where it may be, Cico Park, and when we heard this morning’s (Monday 12/18) clue we knew pretty much right where it would be.”

She went on to say that after the first week’s clues, they figured it was somewhere in Cico, and that they actually walked near it that first hunting weekend, but didn’t look quite hard enough.
