A Junction City man is set to be sentenced in Riley County District Court on Monday.
29-year-old Zane Thomas is set to be sentenced for his role in a kidnapping that occured on Gatlinburg Way in Manhattan back on Jan. 2, 2023.
Thomas was arrested with two other men, Joseph Varvel of Manhattan and Cooper Brown of Manhattan after both Varvel and Thomas held a then 26-year-old man at gunpoint before beating and strangling the man as they drove him around in car around Manhattan against his will.
Sentencing gets underway at 9 am before Judge Grant Bannister.
