Manhattan city workers on Tuesday closed the area around the intersection of Stratton Circle and Sunset Avenue for repairs.

Only local traffic will be allowed into the section, with through traffic diverting at Grandview Drive to the south and Anderson Avenue to the north.

City officials expect work on the intersection — which is on Sunset Avenue between Anderson and Poyntz avenues — to take about a week, depending on the weather, with plans for the project to continue at least through Friday.
