A week after having a 16-game winning streak snapped in a last second loss at Washburn Rural, Manhattan High is back at Bishop Stadium Friday night, hosting Emporia.
The Indians dropped to #5 in the KPreps.com 6A poll this week after falling to now #3 Washburn Rural 35-28 Sept. 22. The Spartans are in search of their first win of the year after being handled by Topeka High last Friday night 39-10.

Rock Creek at Marysville (B104.7 Carpet One of Manhattan Game of the Week) – The Mustangs fell in a heartbreaker at Silver Lake a week ago to drop to 2-2. Marysville has captured its last two after opening 0-2, including getting hammered 49-0 by Wamego in week two.
Riley County at Sabetha – The Falcons regained their footing a week ago by outlasting Royal Valley by a score, but face the #2 team in Class 2A. The Bluejays are just behind their biggest rival, Nemaha Central, in the rankings as they’ve raced to a 4-0 start.
Wamego at Coffeyville-Field Kindley – It’s a showdown of the top two teams in the 4A Western standings as both squads are 3-1. Wamego blasted KC Washington last Friday 53-6 and Field Kindley shut out Independence 35-0. Each opened with a loss to begin the season and have won their last three.
Blue Valley-Randolph at Axtell – Axtell has won 30 straight games and is again the top team in 8 Man-II. The Rams are 2-2 after a loss to Hanover last week.
Linn at Frankfort – The Wildcats rebounded from a loss to Lyndon by besting Doniphan West last Friday. Linn lost to Axtell last week and has just one win thus far this season.
