After an eight day layoff, Manhattan High’s football team will host Hays Friday night as both squads bring 2-0 marks into action. How they’ve gotten there is a bit different, however.
Manhattan has opened with a pair of wins by two or more scores while holding both Derby and Topeka High to 19 points. Hays needed overtime to get past Junction City in Week One, 20-14. They clipped Great Bend last Friday night by one, 28-27.

After shutting out Marysville to improve to 1-1, Wamego hosts Concordia in the second of three straight home games. The Panthers have dropped their first two contests.
Both Riley County and Rock Creek are also 1-1 after wins last Friday night and tangle in Riley. The Mustangs bested St. Marys 32-6 a week ago while the Falcons scored late to beat Rossville, 26-20.

Lyndon visits Frankfort as both teams have started 2-0, 1-1 Blue Valley-Randolph visits 0-2 Wakefield and Flint Hills Christian is at home to take on Veritas Christian.
