Friday’s high school football schedule for the Flint Hills area includes the 108th meeting all-time between Manhattan High and Junction City.
The Indians returned to the win column in big fashion with a blowout over Emporia 51-7 to improve to 4-1. The Blue Jays (3-2) suffered their first league loss and second overall in falling to Washburn Rural 28-7. The winner will remain within reach of the Junior Blues in the Centennial title chase, while the loser will fall two off the pace.
Tonight’s game will air on B104.7 as the K-State game with Oklahoma State will be airing at the same time.

Wamego (4-1) at Shawnee Heights (3-2):
Wamego continues a two-game road swing by visiting the 5A Thunderbirds after besting Coffeyville-Field Kindley last week 49-14. After beating Seaman in Week 3, the T-Birds have dropped their last two by a combined 83-32.
Horton (0-5) at Riley County (2-3):
The Falcons return home after suffering a road loss at Sabetha 27-6. They’ll be looking for their first district win against a Horton team that remained winless in being shutout against Minneapolis.
Hiawatha (1-4) at Rock Creek (3-2)
Hiawatha has dropped its last four after opening the season with a win against Royal Valley, while Rock Creek improved to 3-2 in last week’s B104.7 Carpet One of Manhattan Game of the Week by besting Marysville 30-21.
Frankfort (4-1) at Blue Valley-Randolph (2-3):
The Rams are trying to snap a two game slide, having fallen to defending 8-Man II Champ Axtell 68-0 last Friday. Frankfort is 4-1 after handling business against Doniphan West last week 56-6.
