A lot is on the line as Manhattan High football welcomes Washburn Rural to the confines of Bishop Stadium on Friday.

An outright Centennial League title, a perfect regular season, high playoff seeding, a budding rivalry, senior night and more are outside factors in this game. Perhaps the most prominent thought on the Indians’ minds is the opportunity to right the wrongs of last year.

As the reigning state champion, Manhattan hit the road to Topeka last year with a 16-game winning streak in hand, but Washburn Rural rained on the Indians’ parade, winning 35-28 with a late touchdown.
