
A Garden City man was arrested Monday in connection with a deadly stabbing at a business in Deerfield.
The Kansas Bureau of Investigation said Kearny County deputies were notified of the stabbing at about 9:40 a.m. at a business on Road 180. Adonis Aguilar-Juarez, 32, of Lakin, was taken by private vehicle to Kearny County Hospital, where he died from his injuries despite life-saving efforts.
Authorities identified 43-year-old Erlin Y. Lagos-Gonzales of Garden City as the suspect. Finney County deputies located and arrested Lagos-Gonzales at just after 10 a.m. without incident.
Lagos-Gonzales was arrested on an allegation of second-degree murder and booked into the Finney County Jail. Formal charges are pending.
