The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office and the Wamego Police Department conducted a search warrant early on Tuesday that resulted in the arrest of 4 individuals.

The search warrant was executed in the 1000 block of 10th Street in Wamego as the result of an investigation into illegal drug activity. Officers were able to seize drug paraphernalia and firearms at the scene of the crime.

42-year-old Michael Llamas, 41-year-old Tara Couture, 41-year-old Michael Grant and 41-year-old Brandy Mahkuk all of Wamego are charged with a slew of charges, primarily possession with intent to distribute.

Llamas is charged with single counts of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine within 1000 feet of a school, possession of marijuana within 1000 feet of a school, possession of depressants, possession of opiates, opium, or narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, no drug tax stamp, criminal uses of a firearm and child endangerment. Couture is also charged with the same charges.

Grant is charged with single counts on possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and child endangerment. Mahkuk is charged with a single count of child endangerment.

All four remain confined in the Pottawatomie County Jail awaiting bond.
