Four soldiers stationed on Ft. Riley were arrested over the weekend in Manhattan.
Officers first arrested 22-year-old Zachary Davis just before 6:45 p.m. in the 1400 block of Beechwood Terrace, arresting him on probable cause offenses of making a criminal threat, aggravated battery and criminal damage to property. Davis was booked into Riley County Jail and remains confined at the time of this report on a bond of $14,000.
Officers later arrested two more soldiers at approximately 8:45 p.m. at the Riley County Jail. Officers charged Jackson Hocutt, 21, and Gregory Beard, 32, on probable cause offenses of aggravated battery and criminal damage to property. Both men are confined on bonds of $16,000.
Then later in the evening, a fourth soldier was arrested. 22-year-old Deon Benton picked the same charges as Davis, Hocutt and Beard did. He was booked into the Riley County Jail on a bond of $16,000 and also remains confined at the time of this report.
All four arrests were related to the same case. Additional information was not provided by police at this time.
